A stone's throw from Spain, people come here for its beaches, waves, surfing and also for its authenticity and cultural bubbling, between the heritage of the ancients and contemporary creations.

YOUR ESCAPE: 

DAY 1: WELCOME to the heart of Basque savoir vivre!
Tonight, a most typical dinner in a local Bayonne cider house awaits you.

DAY 2: Day immersed in the preserved Bayonnais terroir. 
Bayonne has so much to share. A guided tour of the city with its historic center and authentic neighborhoods will transport you to what is most Basque.
In the afternoon, an introduction to Basque pelota will delight you!
 

DAY 3: Citadel and imperial city.
A beautiful day is coming, a visit to St Jean Pied de Port, the most beautiful village in France, will reveal the charms of the city to you.
A visit to Biarritz, the ocean city, will plunge you into the heart of Basque elegance.

DAY 4: Rhune train & small Basque villages.
Busy day today, the morning is dedicated to the ascent of the Rhune. 
For a moment, you will have lunch in a cave before setting off to visit small Basque villages!
 

DAY 5: The essential Spanish Basque Country.
During this day, the art and history of Bilbao opens up to you, the must-see Guggenheim Museum  is the essential passage. 

DAY 6: The gastronomic treasures of the Basque Country.
It is in the heart of the magnificent Aldudes valley that you will spend an exceptional day immersed in the interior Basque Country.
A typical lunch will transport your taste buds directly to Basque gastronomy!
 
The return from your immersion will be punctuated by a visit to the "spicy" village of Espelette.


DAY 7: The nuggets of the coast.
Franco / Spanish day on the program!
Departure for St-Jean-de-Luz and
  its authentic fishing port, followed by the discovery of Hendaye and its long and beautiful beach, then Socoa with its emblematic fort.
On this good momentum, you set off on Spanish soil to discover San Sebastian and its famous tapas ...
 

DAY 8: The end of your Basque experience.
If your flight schedules allow it, the adventure is not over yet.
